The 4D Connected Leadership Model

Connected leadership is when our head, heart, hand and soul are connected, and thus what we think, feel, do, and be align.

Misalignment or disconnection happen, when e.g.

  • we think one thing and do another (head vs. hand)

  • we thinking and feeling are different (head vs. heart)

  • we have a purpose, but do something else (soul vs. hand)

  • we feel something, but say/do another (heart vs. hand/action)

Connection or disconnection can happen on an INDIVIDUAL, TEAM, ORGANIZATIONAL level, i.e. an individual can be connected/disconnected, a team or a whole organization.
It can happen both horizontally and vertically.

Vertical connection is if the individual is not connected to itself, or the team or organization is not connected with itself - i.e. when when head, heart, hand and soul are aligned.

Horizontal disconnection is when an individual is not connected to the team, or the team is not connected to the rest of the organization - i.e. when either thinking, feeling, doing or being are not aligned between individual and team, team and organization, or individual and organization.
